WALLSHIELD® Water-Resistive Barrier Sheet
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Over 20,000 sq.ft. of WRAPSHIELD SA® SELF-ADHERED Water Resistive Vapor Permeable Air Barrier Sheet and WALLSHIELD® Water Resistive Barrier Sheet were used on the $14.5M renovation and expansion of the 35 year old Wyoming Game and Fish Headquarters in Cheyenne, Wyoming.

The complex building envelope structure used two types of membranes to protect the building from moisture.

WRAPSHIELD SA® SELF-ADHERED was directly applied to the exterior gypsum sheathing (DensGlas®), which allowed for the DensGlas to dry because it was being covered with insulation.

Next the horizontal Z girts were installed creating an anchor for the insulation and to act as a structural component for the Trespa panel system and the rigid exterior insulation. WALLSHIELD® with black flashing was attached to the Trespa 3 rigid insulation, protecting the insulation and acting as a sacrificial layer to ensure the insulation is protected and has the ability to dry-out. The outer, open joint cladding is Trespa TS 110.
