WRAPSHIELDSA® SELF-ADHERED
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Over 300,000 sq.ft. of WRAPSHIELDSA® SELF-ADHERED was installed over Trespa, metal and brick exterior cladding. WRAPSHIELDSA® SELF-ADHERED was chosen for its ease of installation and high permeability factor. Primer is not required, saving thousands on materials and labor costs. No special tools are needed to install WRAPSHIELDSA® SELF-ADHERED and VaproShield offers a 20 year warranty on all their products.
The $364 million project is the largest construction contract ever awarded by the Veterans Administration and is on schedule for an October 2011 delivery.
The phase four main hospital is 790,000 sq.ft., includes a 90- bed seven story tower and two-story 20-bed mental health facility.
Materials include CMU block, poured-in-place concrete, architectural aluminum for windows and louvers, galvanized structural steel, metal panel systems and phenolic exterior wall panels.
