PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Exhibited in conjunction with Building Design + Construction Magazine, Project FROG’S 1,282-square foot FROG Zero™ classroom was on display during the 2008 U.S. Green Building Council’s Greenbuild International Conference and Expo.
Project FROG™, (Flexible Response to Ongoing Growth) is a San Francisco-based company founded in 2006 with the mission of designing and manufacturing smart buildings. The FROG Zero classroom incorporates the latest and greatest in eco-friendly sustainable features and products.
Architects and engineers agree that buildings must be able to breathe. The FROG Zero classroom featured WallShield because of its breathable technology and eco-friendly construction. VaproShield’s WallShield, is unsurpassed in performance and has the highest drying capacity in the industry at 212 perms. WallShield ensures water-saturated sheathings dry quickly, preventing mold, mildew, rot, metal corrosion and reduced insulation thermal values. WallShield is tear, rip and puncture resistant during and after construction, reducing repairs and labor costs. It installs easily and can span framing members without a solid substrate providing moisture protection, ensuring cost-effective completion of the "dry-in" phase.
VaproShield products are environmentally sensible. Membranes are inert, 100% recyclable and can be recycled into their original bead form. VaproShield products contribute to achieving LEED points in both the Energy & Atmosphere and the Indoor Environmental Quality categories.
