VaproShield products support sustainable building practices and efforts towards achieving LEED certification in the Energy & Atmosphere and Indoor Environmental categories throughout the spectrum of LEED products, including LEED for New Construction & Major Renovations (NC), LEED for Core & Shell, LEED for Existing Buildings (EB) and LEED for Homes.

Retrofitting existing buildings with VaproShield breathable membranes will create healthier, cleaner, more efficient environments with lower operating costs. According to a 2006 Green Building Council study, retrofitting buildings can save owners approximately 90 cents a square foot annually on energy and other costs, earning back their investment in less than 3 years.

LEED for Core and Shell (LEED-CS)
LEED-CS covers the site, base building elements such as structure, envelope and the HVAC system.
